While 60% of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) plan to increase their wellness spending in the next 12 months ( Karla Otto study ), wellness continues to be the leading trend in the hotel industry. 79% of guests mention it as a priority ( Accor Group study ), and nearly two-thirds of HNWIs state that in-hotel relaxation facilities are now very important, even essential, for their vacation plans (Altiant study for ILTM and Hyatt). Between the popularity of spiritual retreats, the opening of self-service hotels, and initiatives launched by the sector (appointment of ambassadors at Aman and Mandarin Oriental , expansion of spas , Pilates , etc.), the race to become a leader in wellness travel has well and truly begun.
