Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu: Chanel celebrates 25 years of its bestseller with a new fragrance
Journal Du Luxe
Twenty-five years after the launch of Coco Mademoiselle , Chanel is preparing to unveil a new interpretation of its iconic fragrance. Named Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu and created by Olivier Polge, this creation pays homage to the olfactory structure of the original scent and illustrates a well-established extension strategy by the House. Conceived by Jacques Polge in 2001, himself inspired by the mythical Coco launched in 1984, Coco Mademoiselle quickly established itself as one of the pillars of the brand, driven by a strong and immediately recognizable olfactory identity.
For this new edition, presented by Chanel as a true "sensory experience ," it was Jacques Polge's son, Olivier Polge , the House's perfumer, who orchestrated this contemporary reinterpretation. His composition revolves around a fruity accord of grapefruit and lychee, a floral heart of rose and jasmine, and a woody amber base of patchouli, with the ambition of preserving the DNA of the original fragrance while infusing it with a new intensity.
