Fifty years later, this Porsche watch is cooler than ever

Lux Expose

Here’s a little something for watch lovers, design buffs, Porsche fanatics, and anyone with a soft spot for engineering perfection – Porsche Design just dropped a gem: the Chronograph 1 – 1975 Limited Edition. This sleek, titanium-clad timepiece is a wrist-bound tribute to 50 years of style, innovation, and, let’s face it, seriously good taste.

Let’s take a trip back in time. In 1975, Porsche Design released a follow-up to their groundbreaking all-black Chronograph I from 1972. That first model, designed by the legendary Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche (yes, the guy behind the Porsche 911), shook up the watch world with its jet-black, function-first aesthetic. Then came the 1975 version – brushed stainless steel, clean lines, and rugged simplicity. It was a look that caught the attention of elite military units and style icons alike.
