The House's well-know design Alhambra features frequently in the auction house's upcoming Paris Jewels Sale.

Bonhams’ Paris Jewels will take place this week (16 October), debuting an 180-lot live sale filled with Van Cleef & Arpels designs from across the decades.

Dating from the 1930s and 1960s to the present day, the pieces are presented alongside other jewellery of diamonds and coloured gemstones including emeralds, rubies and sapphires from Houses including Cartier, Boucheron, Bulgari, Harry Winston, Graff, Tiffany & Co, Seaman Schepps, Mauboussin, and Georges Braque.

“From Alhambra in mother-of-pearl, malachite and onyx to early jewels dating from the 1930s and 1960s that showcase the maisons exceptional craftsmanship and technical abilities in creating sophisticated jewels.

“A sale highlight is the ‘Rubans’ brooch that has stood the test of time and remains as stylish today as when it was first imagined in 1937.”
