A bottle of The Macallan 1926 Fine & Rare 60 Year Old sold for £2.125 million ($2.81 million) at Sotheby’s first live auction held at The Macallan Estate. The result set a new whisky auction record in US-dollar terms, surpassing the $2.71 million achieved by the Macallan Adami 1926 in 2023.
