Veuve Clicquot has cultivated L’Art du Pinot Noir – the Maison’s signature grape variety – for over two centuries. In 1818 she broke with tradition by blending carefully selected red wines from Bouzy, a Grand Cru Village, with her white wines, thus creating the first known blended rosé champagne.
